Week #36 Jump Starting The Fall
Week #36
It has been a few weeks since I did a planner blog post. We went on vacation and I wanted to do more ike a scrapbook spread for the week. But I don't have one of those great little printers so I had to wait till we got home to print out the few pictures that I took.
Our week started with my son and his girlfriend coming down from San Francisco for a wedding. We got to see them for about 24 hours. You always take what you can get when you your kids don't live close by. She had not been to So Cal before so we did a lot of touring along the coastline. It was a beautiful day!
They left for the wedding and we left for Palm Desert (near Palm Springs). We planned it as a very low key week. The weather was very hot so we were inside most of the days. The beginning of the week was 108 and a cool 99 degrees around 8pm. The goal for the week was to jump start our fall. Figure out the goals for the next few months and make a plan of action. Those goals are not only business related. We also want to take our happiness meters up a notch and figure out some fun things to do for the season. I would say that it was a successful week!
I took notes while we were gone so I could remember what happen each day. Then when I got home I printed out some of the few pictures I took and made the spread. I really do need to get one of those great little picture printers so I can do this while there next time.
August Monthly Spread
Last month I tried something new with my monthly spread which I don't really use that much. It seemed like a waste of real-estate in my planner. I didn't want to get rid of it, that seemed silly. So I decided to use it as a small journal of sorts. I just put down one little thing about the day. Sometimes I would doodle around it or I would use my beloved Diary stickers. I really enjoyed doing this and am going to continue with it next month. I might just do a doodle for a day with no writing. Hmmmm........
