Happy Mail Extravaganza!!
I got the BEST happy mail over the last couple of day I just have to share.
First off is the "Planner Society" subscription box. As you all know I am a knitter. There are lots of subscription kits for knitters. Especially from those lovely people that spin and/or dye their own yarns. Too often I got colors that I just didn't like and over time decided it was better for me to use that money buying these lovely yarns myself so that I Loved everything I got. So I stopped doing kits.
When I started see that the planner community had monthly boxes, I was very leery about getting any of them. I have spent a lot of time watching lots of youtube with people showing what they received in the many different subscriptions kits. Over time I have figured out that if I loved the a persons body of work that is curating the box, then there is a better chance that I will love what is in it.
Enter Christy Tomlison. I found her early on in my planner obsession. I love her art and her style and basically everything she does. When she came out with her subscription I didn't signup for the first month. I wanted to see what it was going to be like. But after watching what came in I was hooked. As soon as the subscription opened again I was right over there signing up. I have received 4 months now and I have to say they are AMAZING! I have loved everything in them and have actually used them. I could go on and on about what she includes. I think what really makes this amazing is that her art is included and so I feel I get a piece of her creativity each month. That is what sets this above a lot of the other subscriptions in my opinion.
The next wonderful mail I got was an older edition of the Cath Kidston 2012 Christmas Organizer.
I fell hard for this when I saw it on Pineapple and Buttons Co. blog. I went right over to google hopping I could find it since it was an older edition. Yeah it was available (I hope it is there if you go looking for it. But I just saw the new one and it is adorable too). There are for sections and each section has a team and then different inserts. There are a good number of pages in each of the sections.
The first section is a "To Do" section with lined paper and a "To Do" section with grid paper. After those sheets is a pretty pages with a holly boarder all around. I also love the dividers.
The 2nd section has a place to put address for "Cards" and several pages to list "Gifts" and then some "To Buy" pages
The 3rd section is all about the food. A "Menu Planner', "Guest Lists" and "Shopping Lists". Then there are pages to stick recipes to and some to write recipes on.
The 4th section is all notes. Lots of paper for notes and even a page of really cute stickers. There is also a full length pocket on the back cover.
This will last me for several christmases. the last thing to love is that it is a binder so you can add and take away pages forever! Love!!!
