I visited my Mom in beautiful Eden Utah, just in time for some color. This is the perfect vacation spot. It is in a valley outside of Ogden. She is surrounded by Mountains, ski slopes and there is a lake in the middle of the valley. The best part is that her condo is up on the hillside and over looks everything. Talk about peaceful and quiet! I tend to make it there several times a year and always seem to end up here in the fall so that I can enjoy the beautiful color that is absent in So. Cal.

When it is just the 2 of us it is very very low key. We spent time cleaning out her closets, Maria Kondo style, and got rid of over half her things. My sister lives down in town and when she isn't working she comes up and joins us. She was lucky to find several great finds in the cast offs.

I had knitted my mom a beautiful blue sweater last year and it just wasn't fitting her quite right. But it fit my sister perfectly and she loves it. At least it is staying in the family. It really is beautiful and I would have hatted to see it leave the family.

When I go on vacations I use my planner as a scrapbook. I think this is one of the brilliant things about these planners. I have never been able to get into scrapbooking, way too overwhelming for me. But this is the perfect size and I am already working with it on a daily basis so it is nothing to print out some pictures and add them to my week along with some of the things we did. This really makes me smile!
